A Whole Month of Writing Challenges!

“Are you novelling today, Mum?” asks Sophie. Her eyes are
sparkling. “Camp NaNoWriMo begins today!” She can’t wait to start writing.

“I’m not doing that,” I reply. “I’m doing the Blogging From A to Z April Challenge
instead.”

Writing novels, blogging every day (except for Sundays)…
April is going to be a fun writing month.
Charlotte and Sophie are keen to work on their novels so
they’ve settled into their cabins, ready to begin the NaNoWriMo challenge. I’d
rather blog so I’m all set up for the A-Z challenge. Imogen wants to do both. I’m
not sure how she’s going to write a novel and 26 blog posts, finish her uni
assignments, practice her music and still have time to sleep, but she’s going
to give it a go! (Gemma-Rose wants to write but hasn’t yet decided what she is going to do.)
All the girls are hurrying through their morning jobs. In a few
minutes, writing will begin!
I‘ve just received my welcome email from one of the blogging
challenge coordinators, complete with instructions:

On April 1, blog about
a topic that begins with the letter “A.” April 2 is “B,” April 3 is “C,” and so
on. No posts on Sundays and we finish with Z on April 30.
I’ll be publishing the posts on my Sue Elvis Writes blog. I
am wondering…

Will I be able to come
up with a story for each letter of the alphabet?

Will I be able to find
enough time to blog every day?

Will I write anything
worth reading?

Or will everyone get
fed up with me posting so often?
I hope you will hop over to my Sue Elvis Writes blog every now and then
to find out!

Good luck to all of you. It sounds like such a fun month of writing at your house. And it will be even more fun because you will all be able to support and encourage each other along the way!

I can't wait to hear about all your progress.

      Kari,

You are so right: writing together increases the pleasure! Already we are swapping ideas and reading each other's posts. I've written the first three. 23 more to go!

      Thank you for your encouragement!

      Vicky,

Thank you for sharing my first post. All the involved bloggers are encouraged to visit each other's blogs and stop and comment. I am used to writing for a Catholic readership. What will other bloggers think of my Catholic posts? This could be very interesting!

I don't know if Immy has written and published her first post. She hopes to to that this afternoon. She'll appreciate your visit!

      Chris,

Thank you for visiting my homeschooling blog. Sadly I have neglected this blog since I started the A-Z challenge. That is taking up a lot of time!

I enjoyed reading your own recent homeschooling posts. You have a lot of good ideas and resources. I bookmarked a few of your suggestions!

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment.
