A Very Inspiring Blogger Award

Some days I wake up and feel like I never want to write another blog post
ever again. (I wonder if that happens to anyone else.) The desire to become an
ex-blogger doesn’t usually last long. As soon as the next ‘great’ blog post
idea occurs to me, I can’t wait to get back to my computer and start writing.

Yesterday I had one of those I’m-never-going-to-blog-again
mornings. Then I checked my mail and saw this comment from Lucinda from
Navigating by Joy: “… I’ve given you a Very Inspiring Blogger award!” Well, of
course, I forgot all about not wanting to write. Become an ex-blogger? What a
silly idea that was!
Thank you so much, Lucinda for this award. You really did
make my day. I’m still smiling as I write this post. Blog awards are, as
Lucinda said, an act of kindness. They also encourage, they spread joy and  result in smiles.
I ‘met’ Lucinda when she stopped to comment on one of my
posts, some months ago. I am not always very good at networking, so I really do
appreciate it when readers are kind enough to stop and say hello to me.
I am sure I’m meant to pass this award onto other inspiring bloggers. There is only one problem: I’m never any good at listing people for awards. I know I will miss someone out (by mistake) if I try and do that. Instead, I hope it’s okay if I just say thank you to all the beautiful women who have taken the time to comment recently. You have encouraged me to keep writing posts for this blog. Thank you for reading my stories and stopping to share your thoughts. I have enjoyed visiting your blogs and reading your own inspiring posts. We are all taking part in a ‘Great Homeschool Conversation’ (quote from Lucinda). Doesn’t that sound exciting?
I am in the process of putting together a homeschooling blog list which can be found in my side-bar. I hope you will take a look and then visit Lucinda, and a few of my other friends. Stop and say hello. A comment, like a blog award, can be very encouraging. You might also discover some great ideas and be inspired like me.
Thank you so much, Lucinda!

I love the new drawing you have for your blog headers. You do deserve that award. Your blog definitely inspires me often in the arena of unschooling and child led learning. Keep up the posts and don't even think about stopping. lol.

      Diane,

Thank you so much for stopping and writing this beautiful comment. I appreciate it!

Sophie will be delighted you like my new blog header. She drew the picture. She had a little trouble. When she'd finished, she realised the heights were all wrong. The younger girls were all taller than the older ones. She fixed it by rubbing out some of the legs and redrawing them standing on stools or boxes. Then when I came to resize the picture, we lost part of the legs anyway!

      God bless!

    Sue-

I think about quitting too but, like you, I just can't. I always come back! I am glad you do too. I love your writing and your stories. Your family always inspire me so i think this is a wonderfully perfect award for you. Congrats!

P.S.- I love the new header. It is adorable- but who is the one with the rainbow hair!?!?!?

    God Bless, Kari

      Kari,

It's funny how we both love writing so much, but there are still times when we want to never write anything ever again. Maybe it's got a lot to do with tiredness. It's just as well the next great idea comes along and gets us moving again!

I'm glad you like my header. I wanted a picture of our complete family, but I didn't have a photo, and I can't take one with Felicity and her husband Graham living so far away. Sophie came to the rescue and drew me one instead.

The person with the rainbow hair is Felicity. That's her latest look. I haven't actually seen her hair with my own eyes, but it looks okay in her photos!

Thank you for your kind comment.

      God bless!

  3. I agree – you definitely do deserve it, Sue!

    Thanks for keeping on posting!
