We can't just say, "But that's the way I am!" Because sometimes the way we are affects other people. It can influence our relationships. Maybe it intrudes on the freedom of others. Sometimes we do need to change.Perhaps if we do change our way of communicating, our kids won't have to learn these skills. All we have to do is show empathy, listen carefully, guide rather than control and remember to trust. Our example is the best way to pass on what we feel is important, isn't it?
